About

Pronouns: He/him

Hello, my name is Michael Holder, and I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Walden University. I received my undergraduate degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences at the University of Florida. I have previous involvement in community mental health and gained experience seeing many different types of people.

In the past few years mental health has become more important than ever. I have been fortunate to connect with other men during this time to support their emotional and mental health via support groups, conventions, and personal interactions. I am a stay-at-home dad, and I have developed a passion in promoting men’s mental health, especially in a time where it is becoming more acceptable for men to be vulnerable.

This space is reserved for you. I hope to help you develop confidence in yourself and your choices along your journey. My approach can include concentrating on your interests, strengths, passions, and actions that will influence positive change. However, in therapy we will focus on what works for you. I am looking forward to meeting you, hearing about your story, your challenges, and your aspirations.
